Meliponarios Sierra Maestra

We are two melipona beekeepers from Pilon, in the province of Granma, Cuba, supported by our families.

Meliponiculture refers to the breeding and keeping of stingless bees called Meliponas Beecheii – known in Cuba as earth bees.

We practise sustainable, modern and migratory melipona beekeeping, which is environmentally friendly and, above all, bee-friendly.

We have a special calling to pass on our knowledge and support other melipona beekeepers.

We harvest monofloral and polyfloral honey and bee bread mainly from wild plants, using harvesting techniques that guarantee a safe product of excellent quality.
